Illawarra Live Steamers will be holding their 2024 Hot Pot Run during the Queen’s Birthday Weekend on June 7, 8, 9 and 10 and a cordial invitation is extended to all Members of Clubs affiliated with AALS (sorry, but members of the public are not admitted) to join us in celebrating our Premier event.
The aim of the weekend is to have a relaxing time, exchanging ideas with other live steam enthusiasts and have fun driving our locomotives plus experiencing night time running on a balmy Wollongong evening
ILS is a member of the AALS Broker Insurance Scheme and it is a requirement of our policy for ALL persons attending an activity at our Club Grounds to sign a Register noting the time of arrival and departure.
Kindly note that at the time of signing the Register you will be issued with a HPR Ribbon and it is requested for you to wear the Ribbon over the weekend thereby showing that you have been duly signed-in
We will be reverting to our time honoured tradition of requesting a donation of 3 cans of soup or $15 per person for the weekend.  Entry will be free with our Club providing, at no cost, foam cups, bottomless cups of tea and coffee, milk sugar.
We will, on Saturday, Sunday and Monday morning between the hours of 9.00am and 10.00am, provide complimentary morning teas in the “Footplate Grill Area”
Also, we will be providing our renowned Big Breakfast, at a modest cost, on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Kindly note that the BBQ area will be available to our Members and Visitors during the weekend between the hours of 11.00am and 8.00pm for the preparation and cooking of Lunches and Evening Meals, 
The Canteen will not be open for the sale of food during the weekend
We have a well laid out garden gauge configuration and encourage the attendance of garden gauge locos and rolling stock as well as traction engines and boats.
We have invited a number of Suppliers to provide items for sale at their “Trade Stands” on Saturday and Sunday.  
The preferred Motels within easy walking distance to the Club are:  Beach Park Motor Inn (10 Pleasant Ave) 02 4226 1577, or the Flinders Motel (19 Flinders Street) 02 4226 6566.
Areas have been set aside from Friday (7th) for camping and caravans within the Club Grounds.   A shower with hot and cold facilities is available (24/7).
